The walk leads higher past farm villages with terraced fields to Tirkhedhunga with beautiful cascading waterfalls and then on the stone paved steps with a steep climb to reach at Ulleri village with views of Annapurna peaks.

As walk continues leads you on a nice winding path past Bhanthati smaller villages and into the serene green forest of tall rhododendron-oaks-magnolia-hemlocks with pines and fir tree lines, walking on gradual winding up to reach at famous and scenic Ghorepani village located at the height of 2,880 m and 9,448 ft high in the midst of rhododendron forest.

Tatopani and Beni town route:

Walk downhill to Chitre and Sikha Poon / Magar villages with excellent views of Dhaulagiri mountain range all the way to reach at low warm areas of Kaligandaki River at Tatopani village with hot natural spring to refresh in its warm pools and drive to Pokhara via Beni Town.

Tadapani via Ghandruk route:
Walk uphill from Ghorepani within deep rhododendron and alpine forest along with fabulous views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range of peaks to a place called Deurali almost the same height as Poon Hill.

From Deurali with few small lodges for refreshment and downhill to another Bhanthati village, a settlement in a gorge and then descend to a stream and climb for an hour to reach Tadapani located in the middle of the alpine cool forest.

Tadapani offers excellent views of Annapurna South, Huin Chuli with Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’ and then walk through woodland on the downhill to reach large Gurung village at Ghandruk.

Gurung a hill tribe of Annapurna as Poon / Magar people famous as Gorkha soldiers in foreign legion, one of the largest village within Annapurna region as well the gateway to many trekking destinations of Annapurna Himalaya.

From Ghandruk downhill to Syali-Bazaar and walk or drive past Bhirethati and Nayapul to reach Pokhara.

The other longer interesting route from Ghandruk village downhill to Modi River and climb to another large Gurung village of Landruk and walk on a gradual winding path through farm villages of Tolka and Bheda-Kharka with last climb to another Deurali and downhill to Potana reaching at Dhampus village with grand views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain range.

From Dhampus back to Pokhara taking a few hours of drive with scenic views and past many farm villages and town.

Before Dhampus another great scenic route would be going through Australian Camp or Thulo Kharka (a cattle grazing huge field), located in the midst of forest offers a stunning panorama of mountains and then downhill to Kande on the road head to Pokhara.
