Trip Overview:

The 12 days Annapurna Base Camp Trek, one of the World’s most fascinating trekking in Nepal. In this trek, a  trekker is rewarded with a diverse climatic change from the low and warm land of Pokhara city(800 m) to the alpine and highland of Annapurna Base Camp(4130 m). The trail passes through the charming forest covered with tall rhododendron, pines, magnolia and oak tree lines with the traditional and cultural villages of Gurung and Magars.

The Annapurna Base Camp journey begins from a scenic and exciting drive to Pokhara city which takes around 6-7 hrs towards west from the historical city of Kathmandu valley. After enjoying the crystal clear reflection of the Mount Fishtail(Machhapuchhre) including other Annapurna Himalayas on the stunning Phewa Lake in Pokhara city, we take a short and exciting journey of approximately 2 hrs to reach Nayapul, the starting point. Then, the trek begins all the way to the traditional village of Ghandruk which is very popular for its panoramic beauty and unique Gurung culture. The trek then ascends towards the fascinating mixed forests of oak and pines including rhododendron following raging Modi River into a gorge upstream. It continues until the gorge opens up into a wide scenic plateau of the amazing Annapurna Sanctuary. On reaching the Annapurna Base Camp, one becomes delighted to enjoy the enclosed view of series of highest peaks all around including the tenth World’s tenth highest, Annapurna I (8091 m). After a night stay in this amazing place, the trek now starts descending towards Jhinu Danda, the place where natural hot spring lies. Then, the trek finally descends back to the beautiful city of Pokhara via Dhampus village, the place renowned for amazing mountain views.

How fit should I be to master the 12 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

A good athlete is not the requirement to conquer either the Annapurna Base Camp Trek or the Everest Base Camp trekking. If you are healthy and strong enough to walk 3 to 6 hours taking enough breaks in between, you are almost fit to master this Annapurna Trekking.

Day 01:                 Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

Day 02:                 Drive to Pokhara (850 m)   6-7 hrs

Day 03:                 Drive to Nayapul 1,100m and trek to Ghandruk (1,940 m)  04 hrs

Day 04:                 Trek to Chhomrong (2,340 m)05 hrs

Day 05:                 Trek to Dovan (2,630 m) 06 hrs

Day 06:                 Trek to MBC (Machhapuchare Base Camp: 3,700 m) via Deurali (3,230 m) 06 hrs

Day 07:                 Trek to ABC (Annapurna Base Camp: 4,130 m) – 03 hrs

Day 08:                 Trek to Bamboo (2,345 m) 06 hrs
