“Join our short yet pleasing Langtang Valley Trek and experience the classic elements of trekking in Nepal on the easily accessible trail.”
Langtang Valley Trek takes you to the third most popular trekking destination in Nepal, after Everest and Annapurna region. Despite its closeness to the Kathmandu city, Langtang valley offers unspoiled culture enriched trails and mountain views. The trek introduces you to a fresh blend of adventurous walk within an exotic rural landscape full of wilderness. A walk inside here exposes you to diverse geographical terrains mostly occupied by rhododendron forests. Along with that, you can even get a personal look into the traditional lifestyle of Tamang and Sherpa communities.
Overview:
The journey will officially start with a 6 to 7-hour long drive to a charming Sherpa village called Syaprubesi. The initial parts of our trek will have us leave the polluted urban areas and make our way inside the marvelous Langtang region. Then, our trails begin to lead us through the dense forests along the beautiful Langtang River. Soon enough, we will need to cross a few suspension bridges over the raging rivers. And push ourselves towards Lama Hotel and further ahead to Langtang village. Continuing on with our trek, we arrive at the ancient Kyanjin Gompa where monks practice the ancient Buddhist religious practices.
Langtang National Park
Later on, we engulf ourselves with the naturally gifted Langtang National Park where we can find an abundance of rich ecosystems and wildlife. More than 100 species of flora, 150 species of birds and animals thrive in this region. Some of the rare animals include the Red Panda, musk deer, Himalayan black bear, elusive snow leopard, Himalayan Thar, jackal, and Danphe (the national bird of Nepal).
Besides these things we can also pay a visit to the local Cheese Factory if you wish to. Next, we trek to the Kyanjin Ri peak and the lateral moraine of the Langtang Glacier. Last, of all, we now start trekking back through Kyanjin Gompa, Lama Hotel, and Syaprubesi. From here we simply take a drive back to Kathmandu city and presumably end our trek.
