The Chulu East Peak Climbing
“Let’s find some beautiful place to get lost.”
The Chulu East Peak Climbing passes through serene landscapes enlivened by the warm culture of the Gurung people of the Annapurna area. Navigate pine and rhododendron woodlands up to an alpine pass and discover the magnificent vistas of the Annapurna. Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri, Gangapurna, Tilicho and the crest of Manaslu are the other attractions of this palce.
We commence the Chulu East trek at Chame, going up the Marshyangdi valley. Then we cross the outstanding Throng-La pass (5,416m) to reach the base camp. Utilizing a second high camp, we’ll then make our climb to the top. The summit provides unrivaled perspectives of Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, Manaslu, Pisang Peak, and Chulu West Peak. Bring your camera!
Continuing on to Manang via the Marshyangdi Valley, the second portion of this experience is our trek out to Jomsom, through the staggering Tilicho Lake and the seldom crossed Tilicho La (5260m) – a high altitude adaptation of the renowned Annapurna Circuit. We then cross Mesokanta La Pass to reach Jomsom and Pokhara, to return to Kathmandu.
This trek offers awesome perspectives of the Annapurna Great Barrier. Chulu East Peak Climbing is not a technical climb, but you should be in good physical fitness and be familiar with the use of crampons, ice axes, and ropes. The best times to go are Sep -Nov or Mar-May.
