Poonhill Trekking is an oddly comfortable and laid-back trekking experience for the travelers who want a short yet scenic trekking experience. With the amazing view of the Himalayan giants and incredible sunrise view, this traverse to the foothills of Annapurna range demands relatively less effort from the traveler yet presents one of the most diverse offering for short trek of this type that make travelers amazed. Suitable even for the trekking with friends and family members with moderate level of fitness, it is one of the best short holiday options in Nepal.
Poonhill Trekking begins with the sightseeing of the cultural ensembles of Kathmandu Valley including the major Hindu shrine of Pashupatinath temple and Buddhist shrines of Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa along with the ancient Nepalese architecture of Patan Durbar Square. After travelling to Nayapool through the scenic Pokhara, the real trek starts with the steady trek to Tikhedhunga. Wandering along the villages of ulleri and Ghodepani, we wonder intermittently at the breathtaking views of Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Dhaulagiri. Trekkers travel through beautiful valleys with layered crop fields, blooming rhododendron, bamboo forests and dispersed village settlements along this trail. The highlight of the trip being the sunrise view from Poonhill (3210m), illumination of majestic Himalayas by the rising Sun, is arguably one of the best sunrise view in the world. In Poonhill, you just can’t stop yourself from capturing the panoramic views of Annapurna South, Annapurna I, II, III and IV along with Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Hima Manaslu and Machhapuchhre . Moving past the waterfalls and cultural villages along the way enriches the short and relaxing yet diverse and enthralling trek. The descend to the initial point of Nayapool and the drive to the Lake city of Pokhara marks the end of this exquisite trek.

Me and a mate of mine were doing the trek to Poon Hill when we met Keshab. What an amazing guy!! He was being a tour guide and he was friendly enough to invited us to join him. He was an excellent guide and he has become a friend, I definitely encourage people to get in contact with him if they want to do some sort of trek in Nepal. Thanks again Keshab!
I heard about Keshab through my uncle who had gone trekking with him before. Myself and friend (both Irish) had 10 days to travel around Nepal. Keshab helped us write up a detailed travel plan for those 10 days, and booked everything for us.We went to Pokhara, then trekked for four days, and then stayed briefly in Lumbini. Keshab organised all the transport, and all the accommodation quickly and simply, and all for an extremely reasonable price. While trekking our guide was Keshab's brother Rajendra, who was extremely helpful. He took care of all the necessary documentation we needed to trek in the Annapurna conservation area and he knew the trails very well. We had a really great time.If you are trekking or travelling with this company, you honestly will not need to worry about a thing when you are on your trip. I constantly felt that if I had any questions at all, I could call Keshab and this feeling of security is invaluable when you don't speak the native language, and aren't sure of how to get from one region to another. For example, due to unforeseen circumstances we had to leave Lumbini a day earlier than expected and return to central Kathmandu. We notified Keshab of this and he was instantly able to give practical advice as to the best way to go about getting back, as well as cancelling our final night in the guesthouse in which we were staying.I highly recommend travelling with this company.
We did Poon Hill trekking for three days with this company which was awesome. Keshab has a lot of information about Nepal and ranges around you. He is very friendly, helpful guide. After this we had unforgotable experince. His friend took us to his friend's family and also to Keshab parents. That was another five days. I have nothing to say. Just THANK YOU very much Keshab. And hope to see you again.
