A world of its own, the Buddhism influenced Tsum valley was previously used to be an isolated region. But since 2008 it has opened its door for trekkers who wish to explore the uncharted territories. The unique cultural and traditional values along with the biodiversity of Manaslu and Tsum region, and the legacy of ancient Himalayan civilization makes this trek distinct from other treks.

Overview:

Our trek starts with the exploration of Kathmandu where history and culture of Nepal comes bursting out from its core. So, while strolling around the heritages of Pashupatinath Temple and Patan Durbar Square, you can learn a lot about Nepal. Besides that, we also visit Buddhist shrines of Boudhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa. After completing our tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, we leave Kathmandu and head to Soti Khola. From here onward, our guide will lead us to Machha Khola. And then we go through Thulo Dhunga, Philim before making our way to Tsum valley (the hidden valley). Tsum valley is also marked with the Buddhist stupas that are erected to ward off evils and Mani walls.

In the beginning, we experience the splendor of Budhi Gandaki valley, dense forests, terraced hills. While the latter follows with magical experience of Mu Gompa and Rachen Gompa, breathtaking mountain views and Tibetan influenced cultures. In addition to that, everything about this trek helps trekkers to create striking memories lasting their entire life. After enjoying our time here, we trek further past the foothills of Bihi village. Likewise, our trail takes us to Lihi, Samagaun (the village closest to Manaslu Base Camp), Samdo (village located just under Samdo Peak and Samdo glacier) and Dharmashala (a wide gradual mountain slope with campsite). Next lies the challenging Larkya La Pass (5160m). Upon crossing it, we will descend down to the grassy meadows of Bhimtang. And then we continue marching to Tilije, Tal, Syange and Besisahar. Before ending our trek with a drive back to Kathmandu from Besisahar.

Final Thoughts:

Manaslu Trek with Tsum Valley has established itself as an incredible and unique trekking option for foreign trekkers. Especially for those trekkers who have relatively short period of time to travel in Nepal. Similarly, this trek requires you to be physically fit and mentally prepared. Lastly, we generally recommend spring and autumn seasons as the perfect seasons to do this trek.
