Kanchenjunga Trekking is an adventurous trekking experience to the remote area of Nepal cornered in the far north-eastern region of Nepal. Constituting Mt. Kanchenjunga (8,586m), the third highest mountain in the world and the second highest peak in Nepal, this trekking destination is one of the best yet hosts very few trekkers. Kanchenjunga Trekking is a long yet worth trekking experience that begins with the trek from Taplejung after the flight to Biratnagar, the second largest city of Nepal and drive to this hilly town. During the trek you shall explore the unique settlements, monasteries and gompas, lush hills and mountains, torrential rivers and excellent hospitality of locals despite lacking of touristic infrastructure. Initially, on Kanchenjunga trekking, we shall march along the fast flowing Tamor River till the settlement of Margen after which we shall depart towards the famous Dhunsa village. In between we shall pass through the waterfalls and caves at Chiruwa and fertile pastures, small villages and steep trail in some sections. Past the cardamom fields, dense forests of bamboo and rhododendron, uphill and downhill sections, challenging terrains, suspension bridges and Tibetan refugee settlement we reach Dhunsa. Further, we trek through Miring La Pass (4,650m), along the ridges and reach to Tseram after which we ascend to settlement at Ramche, along the glittering Yalung Glacier. We trek down to Trongten, Sherpa Gaun and to Phumpe Danda, whereby we enter into the cultural trekking trail in the region. Exploring through the settlements of Kadebhanjyang and Lali Kharka, we reach Suketar to mark the end of our strenuous trekking experience as we take a flight to Kathmandu from Suketar Airport.

Kanchenjunga Trekking takes you to the vicinity of Mt. Kanchenjunga, also known as Five Treasures of the Great Snow, on a challenging trek. This trek requires you to walk for 6-8 hours, pass through steep trails, occasional high passes, likely on a difficult weather and high altitude. Previous trekking experience, above average physical fitness and endurance is needed on the part of trekkers. September to November and March to May are the best seasons for Kanchenjunga Trekking.
