“In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous.”

Chulu West Peak is a wonderful peak in the Manang Himal. Range set in the northern outskirts of a little valley north of Manang Village. Looming 6,419m above sea level, Chulu West Peak Climbing offers a fascinating peak climbing experience, considered by some to be one of the best summits in the Annapurna district. This 20 day trek follows part of the Annapurna Circuit (one of the most popular trekking trails in the world) and includes the dramatic Thorung La Pass (5416m). You also have the chance to explore the towns of Gyaru and Pisang along with a short visit to the holy Hindu site of Muktinath temple.

Chulu West Peak Climbing suits those who love adventurous trails. In the beginning, after introductory arrangements in Kathmandu, we drive to Syange/Jagat from where we start our trek. The trail leads to Manang Valley, then north to the Chulu West Base camp. We’ll set up two camps above Base Camp before attempting the summit. While climbing the peak, we will have the chance to appreciate a sublime panorama of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna, and other Himalaya summits.

After summiting, we return to Pokhara via the Thorong-La Pass and Muktinath. A significant highlight is trversing the Marsyangdi valley which will spellbind with views of Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Gangapurna, Mt. Annapurna II, III, IV and Tilicho peak. After reaching Jomsom, we end our voyage with a drive back to Kathmandu city from the scenic Pokhara valley.

All climbers/trekkers attempting Chulu West Peak Climbing should be in good physical condition with a high level of stamina. Spring and autumn are the best seasons for undertaking this peak.
