Day 01: Arrival at TIA Kathmandu (1350m) & Transfer to the Hotel.
Arrival at Tribhuwan international Airport shall mark the beginning of the exciting, beautiful and enriching experience in the Himalayan nation of Nepal. After completing the formalities at the customs you shall be greeted by the representative from our company and shall be transferred to the hotel of your stay, a comfortable accommodation with all the necessary facilities. Get rest to the jetlagged body and relish the cuisine and hospitality of the hotel. In the afternoon, you may explore the surrounding streets. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara (800m) by Bus/Car/Air
For the beginning of the trek to the Annapurna sanctuary, we shall travel to the Lake City and the adventure hub if Nepal, the beautiful Pokhara. The travel to this beautiful valley may be done through the inland travel by Bus or Car as well as through the short and scenic flight. Travel by bus or car takes you past the torrential river and deep gorges, beautiful waterfall, rural landscape and remote settlements trying to adapt to the modern influence, the majestic mountains far away that seem to constantly peep over to the journey as well as the winding trail that very well makes you enjoy all the scenic diversity. The short flight to Pokhara takes you above the lush valleys and green hills, vast landscape and serpentine rivers and the breathtaking view of the majestic mountains only to land in the natural amphitheatre in this city of lakes. You may explore the surrounding areas to the hotel of your stay. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 03: Pokhara to Nayapool (1100m) by private Jeep then trek to Tikhedhunga. 1550m (3/4 hrs)
We have an introductory trek later in the day which shall also mark the beginning of actual trekking in the Annapurna region. To begin with, we shall have a ride by a private jeep to Nayapool, the starting point of our trek. We drive past the settlements bordering the highway and interact with the locals at the spot where we shall have our lunch. Accompanied by rivers all along the way besides the view of mountains, lush green hills and religious symbols including the temples, chortens and prayer flags, we reach to the settlement of Nayapool after the drive of around two hours including the stoppages in between. We shall meet the other members of the trekking team, including the porters and begin with our trek to the destination for today, Tikhedhunga. Trekking begins with passing through the settlements of Nayapul, their little houses and shops and the view of Fishtail Mountain. The trail begins with a descent through couple of bridges and stone stairs along the trail of Modi River, to the checkpoint of Birethanti village, which lies at the eastern bank of Bhurungdi River and the confluence of Modi River and Burundi River besides the check point for verifying the possession of TIMS permit. Further on the trail we shall be passing through the serene landscape of bamboo forest, cool and beautiful waterfalls and springs and the view of snow capped mountains overlooking the trail. Finally we reach the village of Tikhedhunga, a Gurung settlement engaged in agricultural activities and tourism sector. Overnight in Tikhedhunga.
Day 04: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani. 2780m (5/6 hrs)
We have a trek of about 6 hours to reach the Gurung settlement of Ghorepani, a village that serves as a base point for sightseeing to Poonhill and further on to the Annapurna sanctuary. The trek starts with a relatively steep uphill climb for couple of hours and then with a gentle trek to the settlement of Ulleri along the stone steps which shall be okay to you once you find a rhythm. We shall trek with the view of the unique Fishtail Mountain besides the peak of Hiuchuli and Annapurna South Mountain. Past the small settlement of Phultise and crossing over the Bhurungdi River we reach the Magar village of Banthati and further ahead after another crossing is the village of Nayanthati. We shall trek along the Bhurungdi River and past waterfall to reach the beautiful village of Ghorepani. A village within the Annapurna Conservation Area, Ghorepani derives its name from the fact that it used to be a rest- stop where ancient traders found water (pani in Nepali) for their horses (ghora in Nepali). Day 05: Hiking an hour to Poonhill for sunrise (3210m) and trek to Tadapani. 2650m (5/6 hrs)
Today we shall leave before the day breaks, to witness one of the best sunrise you could possibly see in Nepal from the hill point of Poonhill. Armed with torches in the hands and excitement in their mind, trekkers march from their guesthouse in Ghorepani to the foothills of Poonhill after a trek of around less than an hour. Vying for the perfect spot to capture the majestic sunrise over the mountain massifs, trekkers wait anxiously for the sunrise. Trekkers witness a scenery nothing sort of majestic when the sun begin delivering its magic; beginning with the sight of silhouettes of mountains, with each passing minute the white caps, crevasses, trails and homes emerge gradually before the golden orb of the Sun comes to the sight. Capturing the breathtaking scenery we trek to the foothill for lunch and march forward onto Tadapani. This section of the trek begins with uphill climb through the rhododendron forest, serene environment and occasional mist covering up the trail and later on descent past the settlement of Ban Thanti through the stone stairs, forests and past some alcoves. We finally reach the settlement of Tadapani. Overnight in Tadapani.
Day 06: Trek from Tadapani to Ghinu. Natural Hot Spring. 1780m (5/6 hrs)
Today our destination shall be natural hot water spring of Ghinu. We begin this section of the trek with the downhill trek through the lush forest where the sunrays find gaps from the trees to peep into the forest, fresh air and greenery creates a relaxed and enjoyable mood for the trekkers. After a downhill trek for around 3 hours, we have an uphill trek for a couple of hours through the dense forests and then to Ghinu through terraced farming. The natural hot spring of Ghinu serves as a relaxation spot for the trekkers and is also believed to cure many skin related diseases. After relaxing at the hot spring we trek to the village. Overnight in Ghinu.
Day 07: Trek from Ghinu to Tolka.1850m (4/5 hrs)
Revitalized by the natural hot water in the natural hot springs in the Ghinu, we shall today move for the settlement of Tolka in a trek of around 5 hours. Ghinu also has the trail junction with several trails forward this scenic place. We may either trek along the Modi River past a couple of bridges including a New Bridge leading to another bridge and then to the settlement of Landruk, a Gurung village. In another trail we trek for some time, cross the Modi River and trek through the settlements of Himalpani to reach Landruk. Further on, we traverse along the trail past the villages of Kumkum and Midi to reach the destination for today, the village of Tolkha. The second section of the trail, past the settlement of Landruk, is rather uphill trek. Intermittently we shall trek past the terraced hills, cool and beautiful waterfalls, and suspension bridges while interacting with the locals occasionally. Overnight in Tolka.
Day 08: Trek from Tolka to Australian Camp. 2050m (4/5 hrs)
Beginning with the gentle trek to the village of Bhichuk we shall then experience the change in elevation of the trail as the elevation gradually rises. This steep upward trek to Pritam Deurali shall take trekkers for the view of mountains, green hills and lush valleys. We trek down from Deurali through the oak forests, green fields, stone steps along the twisting and turning trails and observing the marvelous scenery all along the trail. After about half an hour trekking past the forest we reach to the destination for today, the Australian Base Camp. This place provides the breathtaking view of the lofty and majestic Annapurna Massif. After exploring the natural diversity of the region, we shall be staying here. Overnight in Australian Camp.
Day 09: Trek from Australian Camp to Phedi via Dhampus. (4/5 hrs) then drive to Pokhara by private Jeep.
This section marks the end of trekking in this region rich in natural diversity, scenery and breathtaking view of the sky-piercing mountains. We shall start our trek with marching on the stone stairs as we trek past the settlement of Deurali through the oak and rhododendron forests before reaching to the settlement of Dhampus. Dhampus provides one of the most photographed village landscapes in the Pokhara valley, breathtaking view of Annapurna range besides other hills and an insight to the rich cultural heritages of Gurung community very well preserved close to the original state. Further past the village of Dhampus we trek along the stone staircases, rhododendron forests and spectacular view of the Machhapuchhre and Annapurna and in the later sections trekking is on the rather plain trail. Finally we reach to Phedi and then drive to Pokhara through the Pokhara-Baglung Highway by a private jeep. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 10: Pokhara Rest.
After having explored the beauty and diversity of the Annapurna region, rich in cultural, natural and biotic varieties we shall have a rest day in Pokhara to savor its natural beauty and cultural diversity. Phewa Lake is the most famous lake of Pokhara where you can have the reflection of Fishtail Mountain in case you have clear weather. Travelers also prefer boating in this lake. Other attractions of this city are the Davis Fall, the caves such as Mahendra cave, Bat Cave and Gupteshwor Cave, International Mountaineering Museum for getting information on the history of mountain climbing, indigenous communities and their culture, tradition and lifestyle. Beside these Pokhara also boasts of cultural diversity of Thakali, Gurung, Brahmin, Chhetri, Magar, Newar and other communities, the Peace Stupa overlooking the Phewa lake as well as the surrounding hilltops of Sarangkot and the bordering village of Lumle. The temple of Tal Barahi at the middle of the Phewa lake is another attraction of Pokhara exploration. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 11: Pokhara to Kathmandu by Bus/Car/Air.
As was in the initial days of the journey to Pokhara, this journey from Pokhara can be done through the same options as well. The 45 minutes flight over the valleys and gorges, rivers and waterfalls, hills and with the view of majestic mountains creates the same sense of excitement, entertainment and joy as in the first time. The inland journey to the medieval capital city of Pokhara takes you along a winding road and through the roadside settlements, past the changing landscape that gives the view of snow capped mountains, lush green hills and torrential rivers. After you reach Kathmandu you shall be transferred to the hotel. Get rest in the hotel after the exploration to the Pokhara and the adventure in the Annapurna region. You may also go for some souvenir shopping in the afternoon. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 12: Final Departure.
This is the official end to the exciting and entertaining trek in the sanctuary of the Annapurna region. We hope that you have created a lot of wonderful memories during the trek and these memories shall occupy a special place in your life. You shall be transferred to the Tribhuwan International Airport for you onward flight to the respective destinations at least three hours before the scheduled flight time.
